Preceding the 9th Media Psychology Conference of the German Psychological Association, a workshop for PhD students will take place at Eberhard Karls University Tübingen/Knowledge Media Research Center Tübingen. All PhD students working on topics from media psychology and related areas are welcome to apply – especially students who are pursuing an academic career after their dissertations.
The one day workshop will take place on the day before the 9th Media Psychology Conference (on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, 10 am to 6 pm) in Tübingen.
As part of this workshop, students will work on their individual presentation skills, receive advice on career planning, and will have the opportunity for networking. The entire workshop will be conducted in English.
To enable intensive group work and mentoring, a maximum of 12 PhD students will be accepted. Participation will be subsidised by the Media Psychology Division of the German Psychological Society. Participation is free, all meals are included. Travel costs and accommodation, however, need to be covered by the students themselves.
Deadline for applications is May 15, 2015.
The workshop is jointly organized by Leonard Reinecke and Özen Odag. The application should include a short motivation letter, a CV, and a brief description of the dissertation topic (in English).
